Catalogue for Contra-Invention, an exhibition of Traffic Warden's evidential photographs. The book collects all the ‘contravention images’ collected between 2008 and 2010 along with meta-data listing camera type, shutter speed, aperture, other photo-metrics and an essay by Hito Steyerl. Photos include examples where wardens (Civil Enforcement Officers) inadvertently captured themselves in reflection. Also the artist managed to manoeuvre himself into the images by following them around. The show was nominated for The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2012 and the catalogue was on Martin Parr’s Best Books list 2010.
