During a two-year period Betty O'Connell-Rogers produced drawings of everyday objects including a hair brush, light bulb and many food items. She also wrote instructions so that others would be able to copy the technique. The result, in effect, is a series of algorithms.
In Betty's words: "This is a book of step-by-step instructions on how to draw simple things. It is aimed at younger people. It is just the way that I draw, so it doesn't mean that you have to draw like this too, as everyone draws in different ways."
Any profits from the small margin on sales of the book will go to art materials for Betty.
